An acrylic and oil mixed media painting of a couple of koi fish. This painting was given texture with matte medium. I used acrylics to give the background color and to start on the proportions of the fishes. I then used oils with linseed oil to make the pink waves in the background and to build upon the fish themselves. It is signed, DJF, in the bottom right-hand corner. It is sealed with a high gloss varnish.
